This was a very pleasant surprise. We weren't expecting to try Uncle Julios as we try to support local businesses rather than chains, however came here for lunch due to a good foodie friend's recommendation. We were blown away. Our waitress, Jordyn, was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu and drink items. My BF has the daily special marg which was jalapeño pineapple: so good! And I had the patron skinny marg which was also delicious and very smooth. We ordered the table side guacamole which is a must try for anyone coming here. It was the freshest guacamole I've ever had. I would also highly recommend the chicken and steak fajitas. The meat is seasoned incredibly well, and everything comes out separate so you can really control how much and what you want to put in their homemade flour tortillas.

I don't have one bad thing to say about this experienced. We will be coming back for sure. Give them a try!

Have been to this place two other times.  Both were 'spot on' experiences for food and service.  Tonight - not so much!  The honeymoon is now over and they clearly do not care.  Where to start? - the salsa had a charred taste due to "the tomatoes were burned during prep today".  OK?  But they just kept serving it.

Our wine came in water glasses because "all of the wine glasses are dirty".  At 6 pm - all of the wine glasses are dirty?  The place was three-quarters full!  Ask our waiter about this three times!

Our appetizer arrived and 1 minute (yes one minute) later our entree arrived.  Really?

And the manager never came by once to our table.  The last two times there he came by the table twice to check on the service.  Clearly they are now open, established and have stopped caring.

    Done with them!

My girlfriends and I checked out this place on their opening night. We stopped in after work to check out their happy hour.

The atmospheres gets a 5 star. It's gorgeous inside, very classy and cool. There were so many staff members there that they were tripping over each other.

We sat in the bar area. There was no happy hour specials or appetizers. We really like happy hours specials so we will most likely not be back because of this. The complimentary  chips were awesome. The salsa was very different then your normal salsa, it was delicious. My gf & I order a guacamole & queso cheese which we shared with the chips. We had two cocktails each and then shared two taco dishes. Total of  6 individual tacos. So we ate 2 each. We had 3 carnitas and the 3 pineapple shrimp.. The carnitas were dry and hardly enough for a taco.

We told the waitress to tell the chef they were skimpy and dry. They didn't even offer to bring us another or take it off the bill. Ok we ate them so we'll pay for them. We each paid $50.00 EACH for chips, salsa guacamole & cheese & 2 tacos each.

Seriously our bill was $150!!!!! Wow. I could of had a really good meal for $50 some where else.

I was very disappointed. One more thing, the bar maids and waiters must of stopped at our table at least 10 times in the 2 hours we were there....way too many times. It got annoying.

There are quite a few choices for dinner at the Crabtree Valley Mall and several if you want to skip the food court. Uncle Julio's is upstairs and accessible by escalator, elevator and you can even park upstairs nearby. When I arrived at 7:30pm, there was no wait and I was brought to a table immediately.

While perusing the menu, chips and salsa. Very thin chips, still warm. Many of them the exact right shape for scooping and so I accidentally ate a few of them even though they are not on my keto diet. The salsa was a thick one, more peppers than tomatoes and very flavorful without being hot.

For dinner, I ordered the carne asada. About ten minutes later, a perfectly cooked steak arrived. Skirt steak, as it is supposed to be, cooked a little lighter than the medium rare but after sitting on this fajita pan for a bit, the second half of it was close to medium. Still, delicious and it was nice to have it hot for the entire meal. A very generous cut and delicious.

Very good service and a good meal. Maybe a little bit expensive and with not too many options for the keto diet, but I enjoyed it.

Overall a solid addition to the Crabtree Valley lineup. Our baby gets super bored easily so we are always looking for things to do with him. He loves it when we walk around the mall and since it's been too hot to walk around outside, off to Crabtree Valley we go. It's nice to have Uncle Julio's as a lunch or dinner option especially since it's a bit more hidden then Cheesecake Factory so tends to not have a crazy wait. The interior is loud which is a plus for us since it also means it's kid friendly! The interior is super pretty and gives you plenty to look at.

As other's have mentioned the app with the comp table side guacamole option is the way to go! That guacamole is huge and pretty delicious. The lovely staff member making it always makes sure you get the ingredients you want in there. He told me he can easily make around 10-15 table side guacs per shift. It's impressive to watch! I also opted in for a glass of their sangria. It was on the sweeter side which is how I like it! It came with plenty of fruit toppings and was a super refreshing summer drink. I'm dying to dig in to their chocolate piñata, save room because that thing looks awesome! Even just the novelty of it makes it a win. Overall the spot isn't inexpensive, but it's the mall! It's impossible to find a decently priced food option thats not the food court. Comes with the territory (well and I'm sure the rent!).
